OUR STORY
Founded to close a gap in the market
AMRO Energy Solutions was founded by Karn and Stephen, who between them bring 25 years of experience across the utilities and facilities sector.
Working in that sector, they kept encountering the same problem: homeowners and businesses could not get clear information about heat pumps. What grants applied, what the process actually involved, whether their building was even suitable. The information existed but it was fragmented, technical, and rarely explained by anyone without something to sell.
AMRO was set up to close that gap. We assess properly before we quote, we explain the trade offs in terms that make sense, and we tell people when the answer is no or not yet.
The same principle applies to our commercial work. Contractors and facilities managers get clarifications stated plainly at tender, documentation issued on time, and a contractor who stays involved after handover.
HOW WE WORK
The principles behind the work
Assess first
Heat loss calculations, system surveys and metered data before specification. A system sized on assumption will underperform, and that is the most common fault we are called to correct.
Explain the trade offs
Every option has drawbacks. We set out what they are, what a measure will and will not achieve, and where the money is best spent first.
Stay involved
Servicing schedules and maintenance arrangements are set up at handover. The contractor who installed the system remains accountable for how it performs.
Handle the paperwork
Grant applications, technical assessments, certification and commissioning records are managed as part of the job rather than left with the client.
Price transparently
Clarifications and exclusions are stated openly at tender. Variations arising from information we should have confirmed are our problem, not yours.
Know the limits
Where a project is outside what we can properly deliver, or a property is not suited to a proposed system, we say so rather than take the work anyway.

Our engineers operate from a Dublin base, with established coverage throughout Leinster and the capacity to deliver projects anywhere in Ireland.
