Commercial heat pump projects can attract both a capital grant and an ongoing operational tariff. Most businesses are unaware the second one exists, and it materially changes the investment case.

We design and install commercial scale heat pump systems for offices, hospitality, healthcare, education, retail and industrial premises. Work typically involves replacing an ageing gas or oil plant, and the design starts with actual heat demand, distribution temperatures and the operating profile of the building rather than a nominal output figure.
The funding position is where we add the most value early on. The SEAI Support Scheme for Renewable Heat provides an installation grant of up to 40% for heat pumps, alongside an operational tariff payable for up to 15 years based on heat generated. It is open to commercial, industrial, agricultural, district heating and public sector heat users. Very few facilities managers know the tariff exists, and it often shifts a project from marginal to clearly viable.
Grant values, tariff rates and eligibility conditions are set by the SEAI and are subject to change. We confirm the current position in writing before any commitment is made.
