An air to water heat pump extracts heat from outside air and uses it to warm your radiators, underfloor heating and hot water. It runs on electricity, and because it moves heat rather than creating it, it delivers several units of heat for every unit of electricity used.
That efficiency only holds if the system is matched to the building. We begin with a heat loss assessment covering insulation levels, glazing, existing emitters and hot water demand. From that we specify the correct output, confirm whether radiators or the cylinder need upgrading, and set the flow temperature the system will actually run at.
Where a property is not yet suitable, we will say so and set out what would need to change first. Installing a heat pump into a poorly insulated house creates high bills and disappointed owners, and we would rather have that conversation before the work than after it.

Most heat pump disappointment traces back to specification rather than the unit itself. A system sized on floor area alone, fitted to undersized radiators, will run at a high flow temperature and lose much of the efficiency it was bought for.
